travel Last weekend, my friends and I spent the weekend in Lake Tahoe. On our drive home, we stopped in Sacramento to a shop called The Parlor for what could possibly be the newest craze. The Parlor calls the snack an Ice Cream Puff, which is basically a donut that is split open and stuffed with...
One of the first things my friends and I did almost every morning in Paris was to walk and explore a new boulangerie to try their croissants. By Day 3, we already found the best croissant and the best baguette, not without help. One of my friends put together a five page document with recommendations...
I realized that I didn’t document my food experience in London or Paris very well on my blog. Borrough Market in London was great and so was that dinner at Le Comptoir in Paris. This week’s blog will focus on my best eats in London and next week will be my favorites in Paris. I’ll...
It’s night three in Paris and this evening’s dinner is the best thus far for me. After our visit to the Louvre, we headed to St. Germain for an early dinner at le comptoir. My friends and I ordered a bottle of Bordeaux to share. We got three different entrees (appetizers). One of my friends...

Borough Market is full of artisanal foods. Vendors were selling their homemade products such as cheese, breads, and cured meats. A bread...
I just got back from a conference at the Seascape Resort in Aptos, California which is near Santa Cruz. The space is beautiful and right off the beach where we could see dolphins swimming. My colleagues and I were able to have a few meals off-site and I wanted to write about two of those...
I was in San Diego last weekend. A lot has changed since I lived there twenty years ago including the food scene. That’s probably true everywhere. Food has changed a lot in the last twenty years. Another change is that you can easily find the best foods to eat even when you are a visitor....
Last weekend I had a networking dinner in Washington, D.C. The planner/host was very creative in planning the themed event. I have never watched House of Cards or Scandal, but these would be the themes of the evening. The host chose the restaurant Equinox, a restaurant where the President and the First Lady dined before...
I just returned from a conference in Washington, D.C., so of course I have to write about the food experience I had there. Every meal I had was great except for the sandwich I bought for my return flight at Reagan National Airport. I will share my most enjoyable experiences. I love great coffee and...
My time in Downtown Philadelphia lasted less than 36 hours, but I still managed to have two great dinners. Both were in the Rittenhouse district. I had to solely use and trust yelp because my last trip to Philly was many years ago and I didn’t have a lasting impression in terms of food. Yelp...
